In Mali, Security Council gets first-hand look at UN efforts to restore stability
3 February 2014 – The Security Council today wrapped up a two-day visit to Mali, where it got a first-hand look at United Nations efforts to assist the West African nation as it emerges from crisis and tackle a host of political, security, development and humanitarian challenges.

THIRTY-SECOND SESSION OF THE CAMEROON-NIGERIA MIXED COMMISSION
Abuja, 2 February 2014 - The Commission on the delimitation of the boundary between Cameroon and Nigeria closes its Thirty-Second (32nd) Session in Abuja, Nigeria. The Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission is composed of Delegations of Cameroon and Nigeria led respectively by Mr. Amadou Ali, Vice Prime Minister and Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke, Minister of Justice. It is chaired by the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations for West Africa, Mr. Said Djinnit.

Fighting in northern Nigeria sparks new refugee exodus to nearby States, UN reports
24 January 2014 – Nearly 6,000 people have fled fighting in Nigeria to neighbouring Cameroon and Niger in the past 10 days after reporting that several people had been killed, their villages bombed and at least two villages burned to the ground, the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) said today.
