The SRSG Welcomes the President of the Republic of Mali’s Commitment to the Peace Process

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and Head of MINUSMA, Mr. Mongi Hamdi, was received by His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, the President of the Republic of Mali, at Koulouba this morning.

During this meeting, they discussed the regrettable developments that have recently taken place in Amassine and Anefis and agreed on the fact that these constituted serious violations of the ceasefire. Mr. Hamdi welcomed the President’s personal commitment to the peace process as well as his call for the withdrawal of the forces currently present in Anefis.
