10 Jul 2013 - New York, 10 July 2013- Said Djinnit, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) for West Africa, today briefed the Security Council on the activities of the United Nations Office for West Africa (UNOWA) over the past six months. He also presented an overview of the most recent developments related to peace and security in the sub-region.
29 Jun 2013 - Dakar, 29 June 2013 – The United Nations, the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States, the Secretariat of the Mano River Union and Ministers of Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone met today in Dakar. They have agreed on the need to develop a joint security strategy for the Mano River Union.
27 Jun 2013 - Dakar, 27 June 2013 – UNOWA and UN Women organized a regional video conference from Dakar with more than 150 women in 9 countries in the Sub-region. The virtual meeting was organized in collaboration with ECOWAS and the Mano River Union.
28 May 2013 - Geneva, 28 May 2013 - The twenty-second session of the Follow-up Committee which monitors the implementation of the Greentree Agreement on the Bakassi Peninsula was held in Geneva on 27 and 28 May 2013.
30 Apr 2013 - Monrovia, 30 April 2013 - Said Djinnit, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) for West Africa, participated in the 22nd ordinary Summit of the Mano River Union (MRU) held in Monrovia, Liberia, today that brought together the Heads of State of Liberia, Sierra-Leone, Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire.
26 Apr 2013 - Yaoundé, 26 April 2013 – The Commission on demarcation of the border between Cameroon and Nigeria has closed its thirty-first (31) session today in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The Cameroon-Nigeria Mixed Commission is composed of official delegations from Cameroon and Nigeria, led respectively by Mr. Amadou Ali, Vice-Prime Minister and Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke, Minister of Justice.
